📢 Join the Tamil Sangam Västerås Online+Offline Chess Tournament! 

The tournament takes place every Saturday from Feb 7th, leading to an exciting Grand Finale on Feb 21st!

📅 Tournament Details

• Category: Kids and Open category will be divided and decided.
• Format: Arena Tournaments + Knockout Stage & Finale (For Top Performers in Arena)
• Game Mode: Rapid (10 min per player, may vary for excitement)
• Platform: Chess.com (Free to play)

• Match Days:
  • Arena Round 1 (Online): Feb 7, 16:00 – 18:00 CET
  • Arena Round 2 (Online): Feb 14, 16:00 – 18:00 CET
    (Best points from either Arena Round 1 or Round 2 will qualify for the Knockout stage, giving participants two opportunities to prove their skills.)
  • Knockout & Grand Finale in Västerås City : Feb 21 (Not Online – OnBoard – Venue details will be shared later)
    (Top performers from the Arena rounds will face off to determine the tournament champion.)

• Entry Fee: FREE for Tamil Sangam Västerås members
• 100 Kr Entry fee for Non Members

2️⃣ Create a Chess.com account (if you don’t have one)
3️⃣ Join the Tamil Sangam Västerås Chess Club on Chess.com (Link will be shared to the participants)
4️⃣ Be ready to play every Saturday at the scheduled time!

📜 Tournament Rules

✔ All games are played on Chess.com (mobile app/laptop/tablet)
✔ Be on time – Late joiners will forfeit the game
✔ Fair Play Rules apply – No external assistance allowed
✔ Disconnection = Loss if the clock runs out
✔ Organizer decisions are final
